Wedding Day: Part 2

The mom's were lined up, then went the bridesmaids, then the flower girls, then me, my dad, and my brother. It was finally time!!!

Bobby (our DJ) started playing "I See the Light"
slap guitar style and everyone started to walk down the aisle one by one. It's a very real feeling when the pastor tells everyone to rise as you emerge from the stairs. Lydia (my sister) was squirming in my moms arms throwing flower pedals like a wild girl, Sam was looking right at me, my dad and Jack (my brother) were tearing up and in that moment it all sunk in... I was about to marry my best friend and follow Gods new path for my life.

When I finally made it to the middle of our circle of friends and family it was time for my dad and mom to bless our marriage.

Our Pastor greeted everyone and talked about marriage and how God intended for it to be, Jack gave a speech and prayed over our us.

"And the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together let no one separate." Mark 10:8-9

We said our vows we wrote for each other.

We exchanged rings.

And then... We were announced Husband and Wife!

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Nicholson!!

Bobby started playing "Send Me on My Way" and we made our way up towards the cabin for the greeting line. We were so blessed by all the love and joy everyone had for us!

Next was family photos... Which surprisingly went super smooth considering the 3 tired little toddlers had to be in them.

After pictures we were off to the reception...

More specifically the dance floor for our first dance. We danced to "You'll Be in My Heart" by Phil Collins.

Next my dad and I did our daddy/daughter dance, then Jack and I danced and then Aramis (my other brother) danced. I have a lot of important men in my life!!!

After that we had a special little dance for the flower girls which had to be one of the cutest things ever as the 3 two year olds tore up the dance floor to "Let it Go". They all still talk about it to this day! And then my brother Aramis took the dance floor and put on a show for everyone.

Then it was time for dinner. BBQ and mashed potatoes..yum! We let our pastor and his soon to be wife sit with us at our table. It was nice to visit with them while we ate our food before we made our way to the tables.

We then cut the cake. It was as good as it looks. Instead of a huge cake we decided to do a small cake for us and then have a dessert bar. I didn't get to have any other desserts, but everyone said they were delish!

My dad gave an amazing speech followed by Jacks, my maid of honors, and our DJ, Bobby, who just so happens to be one of Sam's best friend.

After the speeches I made my way to change into my second dress with my bridesmaids.

And from that point on everyone made their way out to the deck to party...  We had such a blast on the dance floor.

Finally it was time to go... Sam and I said goodbye to Bobby and then made our way through the tunnel of friends and family as the cheered and said goodbye.

And then we were off in the bed of my brothers old truck.

Best. Day. Ever <3

It was so surreal having all our friends and family in one place at the same time all getting along, and I'm sad it might not ever happen again. We are so thankful for all the love everyone poured out to us on our special day and to everyone who helped make it happen.
We love you guys <3
